After failing to include an in-display fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy Note 8, Samsung was widely expected to make use of the scanner on the Galaxy S9. However, local news reports from Korea suggest that might not be the case as the company is still struggling with some issues with the tech. Instead of using an in-display fingerprint scanner, Samsung will continue to use a traditional fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy S9 which will be located at its back....

Samsung has opted to launch a new series of tablets, and they’re opting to call it the Galaxy Tab A series, starting things off with two new models. Today, Samsung officially launched the Galaxy Tab A 8 and Galaxy Tab A 9.7 for pre-order, with availability going wide at many retailers, including Best Buy, beginning May 1. Starting from today, owners of high-end Galaxy handsets from Samsung in the United States will be able to use Samsung Pay to pay at all major retail stores. Samsung Pay is the Korean company’s own mobile-based payment service that works with both NFC and MST based PoS. Samsung has announced that it will be expanding its mobile payment service — Samsung Pay — to Russia, Malaysia, and Thailand before the end of this year. With the addition of these three new countries, Samsung Pay would be supported in 10 countries by the end of 2016. Samsung unveiled four new tablets at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week. My personal favorite is easily the 8.4 inch Galaxy TabPro. It has a Snapdragon 800, 2 GB of RAM, and most importantly, an 8.4 inch display that pushes an insane resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. A report from South Korea’s Electronic Times claims that Samsung will be using Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 820 chipset in the Galaxy S7.
