A case with a twist “Robbery ft. Redmi Note 8 Pro” is a minute-long ad that starts in a place called CIB headquarters (!) where an officer is trying to find the culprit behind a robbery at a bank. In the setting, there is a witness who seems distracted while playing games on his Redmi Note 8 Pro. The officer introduces the witness to the bank manager, who does not too impressed and says, “I hope you are not wasting my time, officer”, questioning the attentiveness of the witness....

Earlier this month, Samsung had good news for Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ owners, in that it was delivering the anticipated Android 8.0 Oreo update for those handsets in Germany. However, it didn’t take long before Samsung had some bad news: It was pulling the update, due to reports of unexpected reboot issues. So the company took some time to work on the software, and now, SamMobile is reporting that Samsung has restarted the over-the-air software update for both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+....

Samsung today officially unveiled its latest smartwatch, the Gear S2, after teasing it multiple times over the last few weeks. The smartwatch comes with a circular display and will be available in two different variants: Gear S2 and Gear S2 Classic. Not too long ago, Samsung unveiled its Gear S2 and Gear S2 classic smartwatches, which are not running Android Wear, but instead Samsung’s proprietary Tizen OS. Samsung announced today that it has started the mass production of ‘advanced logic chips’ based on the 14nm LPP (Low-Power Plus) fabrication process. This is the second generation of the company’s 14nm FinFET process that was used to fabricate the Exynos 7420 last year. Most importantly though, Samsung also confirmed in its announcement that it would be fabricating Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 820 chipset on its 14nm LPP process....

Dubbed Seaborgium by Microsoft, the group has worked to steal information from targeted NATO countries, particularly the US and UK, and occasionally from other countries in the Baltics, the Nordics, and Eastern Europe, as well as Ukraine government organizations prior to Russia’s February 24 invasion. The 12MP camera of the Galaxy S7 has piqued everyone’s interest. After all, Samsung claims that despite the lower resolution sensor, the camera on the Galaxy S7 is better than almost any other smartphone camera in the market and rightfully so. The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are scheduled to go on sale in most markets on March 11, so until then, it is not possible to get an idea of how the 12MP shooter on the handset stacks up against the likes of the iPhone 6s, Galaxy S6 and other smartphones with great cameras....

Each drive has 16 layers of 256-gigabit V-NAND memory. In them, the storage cells support three bits, indicating that the specification used here is TLC (Triple-Level Cell). The speeds also impress. They are up to 3.1 GB/s (gigabytes per second) in sequential data read and 2 GB/s in writing, three to five times larger numbers than the most conventional SSDs (Solid State Drives)....

Whatever the audio quality, earbuds need to be comfortable to wear. I found the earlier model a bit large and uncomfortable in my ears. I can’t have been the only one, as this time around the buds are a fair bit smaller and a little lighter – 5.8g here versus 6g for the previous model. They still feel a little bit chunky in my ears, but less so, and I wasn’t troubled by the discomfort I felt after an hour or so of wear this time around....

Ridiculed by many, loved by few, HTC’s Sense software layer on top of Android is going to receive an update. With version 5.5, Sense looks to be just a tad bit more refined than usual, and according to Android Police, it comes with a bevy of new features. First “feature”, if you want to call it that, is an option to turn off BlinkFeed. That’s HTC’s FlipBoard clone that always takes up a homescreen, whether you want it to or not....
