Sony has just posted an IFA teaser video where it teases its upcoming line-up of Xperia devices — the Xperia Z3, the Z3 Compact and the Z3 Compact tablet. The last frame of the teaser video titled ‘The time to demand great is coming’ includes a glimpse of all the three devices that Sony is going to unveil at IFA. http://youtu.be/kajjMuZx8nY Apart from their glimpse, the teaser video only gives a hint at all the features that the upcoming Xperia devices will pack including a TRILUMINOUS display, water and dust resistance and more....

On September 18, Sony opened up pre-registration for several of their newly announced (back then) devices, including the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. They’ve officially upgraded its status to pre-order. On Tuesday, October 21, Sony officially listed the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact as available for pre-order, and listing it for $499.99. If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on the device, Sony’s also listed an expected ship date beginning November 2, so the wait is certainly getting closer to an end....

First up from the rumor mill is an image of three prototypes from oneArena, which have a flatter back design. It’s unclear if one or any of these are the final build, but it indicates that Samsung is willing to tweak the look in order not just to release another clone of the last version. In the latest analysis of smartphones in the market, Consumer Reports gives a preference over the Samsung Galaxy S7 and not the tech giant Apple’s iPhone 8. After reviewing existing smartphone market proposals, Consumer Reports has established a list of recommended devices in order of preference based on various factors of daily use. At the top of that list are the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+, with 81 points out of 100 possible, followed by the iPhone 8 and the Samsung Galaxy S7, both with 80 points....

Sony today announced that it is looking for up to 10,000 Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact users in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Latvia, and Estonia for their second edition Concept for Android program. Hound is the work of the SoundHound team, which is better known for its song-identification service (you know, the one that isn’t Shazam). The company launched Hound in private beta for Android phones on Tuesday, with hopes that it will be your go-to search companion for navigation, weather, general search queries. SoundHound founder Keyvan Mohajer told red that Hound is engineered to hle search queries faster than rival services because the company is applying all it has learned about voice technology from its SoundHound service....

Sprint has been pretty active when it comes to Android 5.0 Lollipop lately, with the Galaxy S5 receiving its own update to the newest version of Android just today. Based on a leaked document received by Android Central, both the HTC One (M8) and LG G3 are set to receive their own updates to Android 5.0 Lollipop this month.
